Is ITIL certification important for a developer in a mid level software developer company?
Before you go in for ITIL
certification, your objective should be clear : i.e, do you want to pursue ITIL
as a career or you want to do the internal work in order to obtain
certification ?
My advise is that if you are
keen to pursue ITIL as a career alternative, then you should look at training,
self certification, but your target market should be large enterprises.
A mid level software developer
would not achieve ROI after achieving ITIL, unless demanded by its clients .
